the day after
It's funny to think I woke up with only one thing different today. One thing that was almost completely everything. And that one thing felt as though the world has completely changed. Everything was completely strange. There was this really loud silence, yours of course. I could hear it in everything, the kettles hum. The heats fizz. It made me feel kind of fuzzy. The kind of fuzz that vibrates in the early morning, The kind of fuzz that grows on rotted bread. It was the type that just makes every hair on your body static and every heartbeat sound in your throat. The silence was so loud, I wouldn't break it. Not that I could try to shout, How could I be so loud, when you made not a single sound You raised a white flag and that was it. The colour of submission, of release, of purity. A colour so bright, yet completely gloomy. A surrender, that felt as though it was a cage, with alot of grovelling. The pain was the only thing that felt pure. It hurt to fight and to preserve you and I. But it was shattering to lose us. How could it feel like this, when it was only the next day. Just the day after...
