the dark sky

and as I stared into the dark sky and shining stars, alone on this cold fall night, ur words still haunt me. the promise you made to never leave and the endless hours we watched the clouds roll by apparently all meant nothing. and now as I lie here, watching the sky I can only help but feel alone, as the darkness fills my soul as if im becoming one with the night.
