THE DARK NATION
****THE SADDEST TRUTH**** A giant groans, its limbs in chains, Nigeria, a land of pains. Oil flows free, a bitter stream, While children starve, a broken dream. The leaders feast, a greedy crew, On promises, forever untrue. The people weep, a silent tide, As hope is crushed, and dreams subside. The ballot box, a hollow lie, Where futures fade, and spirits die. Corruption reigns, a venomous king, His poisoned touch, to all doth cling. The youths despair, they seek escape, From this dark pit, this ravaged shape. A broken nation, tears it spills, On barren fields, and dusty hills.
