The Crying Mutt
" The dog that weeps after it kills is not better than the dog that doesn't. My guilt will not purify me. " The tears shed will not clean their blood from your face let alone your soul. Guilt feeds nobody. Eat of the body created by you and weep while you gorge. Is it filling your bloated greed? Apply the blood to your cracked lips as they quiver in your savagery. Has it settled your envy wearing them? Did you gain from slaughtering them and mourning afterwards? Murmuring to yourself that your repentance of tears had made it better. Are they truly tears or are you dripping in the blood of your sins? Can anything truly purify you if you weren't pure to begin with? Why kill a mutt when you yourself are a mutt as well? Kill them as you wished to be killed. Put down for the crime of living. Lay the body in a golden casket and cry your blood tears. Act as if the gold isn't turning the body a grotesque shade of green. Read from your book to justify your actions. " She was born wrong. Messed up. " Validate your feelings at the cost of a life. Get in your bruised knees and pray in front of your lies. Your sins. Does that make it better? Is he listening to a mutt? Or is he hearing your cruel giggles during the eulogy. Does hearing the life of the dead mutt remind you of yourself? Born into a loveless marriage. Punished for the pain of being born. Drowned in their mother's hatred. Killed by their mother. Which mutt is truly alive The one shambling and suffocating in the pain of being their mother or the one in the golden casket of her mother's pies? Tell me, Mother, if your guilt has purified you yet?
