the cross
In ancient times, a symbol so profound, A sacred emblem, The Cross was found. A testament to love, that knows no end, It carries a message for all to comprehend. Upon a hill, where hope and darkness meet, The Cross stands tall, with mercy we can see A sacrificial act, for sins to atone, A glimpse of divine grace, forever shown. With arms stretched wide, it beckons us near, Saying, "Come, my child, cast away all fear." A symbol of redemption, where all can find, Forgiveness and salvation, oh so divine. For on that Cross, a story is unfurled, Of God's own Son, sent to save the world. He bore our burdens, our sorrows and strife, Offering eternal peace and everlasting life. Through the pain and suffering endured, A beacon of hope, in love He assured. His blood, like scarlet threads, was shed, To redeem all souls, by grace He led. So when we gaze upon The Cross today, May we remember the price Love had to pay. And let its symbolism forever remind, Of the power of redemption, so beautifully designed. For The Cross stands firm, unyielding and true, A symbol of faith, for me and for you. May it forever serve as a guiding light, Leading us to the path of eternal delight
