Wanted to love something beautiful Wanted to be loved, ended up being hateful Consumed by rage and guilt Over run by wrong decisions, Broke the one and only ship I built I sailed across the sea, searching for the land, Where the waters met the shore The nails were rusty, clothes were shredded, set foot on the soft sand Was grateful after seeing it, thought the enterprise was successful Saw someone waving a hand towards me - a sculpture it was, made of clay, Jaws opened, breathtaking and graceful Took it to my land, cared for it, fell in love with it I talked to her, admired her beauty, was mesmerized and baffled Days went by, got fastened to it Then comes a day, A Gloomy Dark Dreary Bleak and Gray Was raining when it broke its shape, her features somehow showcased her beauty It died, it left, it was, exquisite Never knew, death was so alluring A horrific scenery
