The Courage to be
I think we waste so much of our lives afraid of being ordinary. Afraid that if we sing too loud, someone will notice our voice isn't polished. So we stay quiet. We don’t write songs because we aren’t Mozart. We don’t paint because we aren’t Da Vinci. We don’t say “I love you” because our voice might tremble when we do. We try to cry neatly. We try to hurt gracefully. We stand still instead of dancing because we’re not good at it anyway. But the truth about being human is this: most of us are average at most things. And that’s not a flaw it’s a fact. We’re not all exceptional at everything. Gifted at doing everything, And that’s okay. So stop shrinking yourself just because you’re not a prodigy. Stop waiting to be great before you allow yourself to feel alive. Sing the song anyway, off-key and too loud. Say the words even if your voice shakes. Cry the ugly kind of tears. And dance really badly Because life is too short to be scared of being human.
