the climb within
The reflection in the mirror pierces through, Revealing both the best and worst of me. Beating the heat, sweating humility, I push through the day, but progress doesn’t climb as high. The emblem of success isn’t a path defined— It’s the road you take, the grit you show, that shines. Reaching for the impossible, always the desire, But chasing the sky is a race with no finish. The morning may rise with promise, bright and full, Yet by dusk, the end might not align. In this world, it’s easy to point and blame, A constant loop, different faces, the same game. Admitting mistakes feels right yet stings with shame, Change is inevitable, a rule we cannot tame. The hardest test? To earn a perfect score, In a competition where self-improvement’s no longer the core. Still, I rise, amidst the noise, with quiet fire— For it’s not in the end, but in the climb, I aspire.
