The Circus Show
I heard someone screaming for aid I followed the voices, unafraid I fell inside a hole of deep shade I listened to the people parade A beam of light strikes my face I run, people laugh in their place They laugh as I stay from their grace It's suffocating, I can't keep pace They kept following me in a chase I stopped ignoring the light's embrace Just to keep them quiet in space When lights lit up, their applause a lace I can finally see my cage in this race While they're enjoying the show with no trace I thought it was I who put myself in disgrace.
