In the valley of Sarang, where the iron towers rise, A traveler arrived with starlight in her eyes. To the gates of Rohini Bhawan, a fortress made of stone, Where no one walks the corridors entirely alone. The Second-Year Sentinels, guardians of the hall, Helped find the hidden chambers and answered every call; They handed o'er the iron keys to rooms where dreams reside, And opened wide the heavy doors with nothing left to hide. Six souls within a single room, a kingdom small and bright, With Sangita at the center, a beacon in the night. From strangers to sisters, the weaving then began, A tapestry of secrets according to a plan. We shared our shadows and our light, our "goods" and "bads" combined, Until our beating, youthful hearts were flawlessly entwined. When kinfolk from the outer lands would visit with a grace, Their offerings of sweets and love transformed our tiny space. Do you remember Diwali, when the darkness ran to hide? With powders made of rainbows, we painted with our pride. Sangita and I, on the floor of cold grey tile, Built a Rangoli fortress that could make the heavens smile. To be continued ...........
