The Change
In the garden of youth, where innocence grew, A time when the skies were always blue. Our hearts were unburdened, our spirits so light, Chasing dreams in the warm summer light. We laughed without worry, we loved without fear, Every moment was magic, every day was clear. Kindness came easy, compassion was real, In a world full of wonder, we'd dance and we'd feel. But as we grew older, the world closed in tight, The magic of childhood slipped into night. The dreams we once nurtured now shadows at dawn, The innocence faded, the purity gone. We learned how to worry, we learned how to hide, Beneath masks of composure, emotions we bide. The world taught us lessons, some bitter, some cold, And in losing our youth, we lost our gold. Yet deep in our hearts, the child still remains, A whisper of laughter, a memory of rains. A glimmer of kindness, a spark of what's pure, Reminds us of times when we felt more secure. For though we have changed, grown jaded and wise, The child within us never truly dies. And in moments of quiet, we hear a small voice, Urging us gently to make a kind choice. So when life feels heavy, and the path feels unsure, Remember your childhood, where hearts were more pure. Seek out the kindness,
