The Center
God must be the love, the quiet center of it all not placed on the side, not called only when love is breaking, but seated at the heart. Because no one is perfect. Not you. Not me. Not the ones we pray will never disappoint us. Still, we ask: How do you love an imperfect being? This is God’s kind of love. We search for people who fit our values, mirror our morals, align with our beliefs hoping perfection will protect us from pain. Yet God does not wait for alignment. He loves because He loves. The most perfect Being choosing flawed, unholy hearts. Not because we are worthy but because His love is. And in that love, we learn what love was always meant to be.
