The Cause of My Death
You held me in your arms So fervently riddled with warmth The touch of your skin Lovingly and painfully Mending my sickness And my lips quiver Letting out whimpers Confirming the fact of your absence And the fact you're no longer mine With the fear you never were And a hope you could be again I miss you like how the grass Misses the sun, Coated in the numbing snow I miss you like how the deer Misses the headlights, So endearing and entrancing Yet it's demise all at once There's a fire all throughout my body Once so warm and comforting You'd cloud my mind, and I'd grow fuzzy Full of love But I'm so hungry And I feel feverish I want you to kiss me I want you More than I've ever hated anything I want you And I want you And I'm terrified to admit That I need you more than I need air More than I've ever loved the sun But less than I have ever, Ever loved you
