The Cat's Grand Plan
My cat sat on the windowsill, With a look that gave me chills. She plotted and she schemed all day, To catch that bird who dared to play. With stealthy paws and a twitching tail, She thought she’d set a grand detail. But as she leapt with all her might, She missed the bird and hit the light! The lamp went crashing to the floor, And I just couldn’t take it anymore. She looked at me with wide-eyed glee, As if to say, “It wasn’t me!” Now every time she stalks her prey, I brace myself for the next display. For in her quest to be the queen, She’s more of a clown than a feline machine! So here’s to cats and their grand designs, With their silly antics and goofy lines. They may not catch the birds they chase, But they sure know how to bring a smile to our face!
