The Caricatures of Siblings
Manifestations do come true, atleast mine did. I have cousins, not siblings. Wished for one when I were 6. 12 years later. He said- Granted! An October noon, a chaotic crafty day at school. This one little bunny enters the class. Have been seeing him being a silent squirrel all the time. Silent? Absolutely not. We laughed, we worked, we talked, we left. Who knew we'll bond over cutting papers, Anupam Roy, crowns and sceptres, and SUNSCREEN? This little one, a 15 year old, much mature than the number- becomes my whole bunch of happiness. I felt like I was an elder sister to someone- for the first time. As if he'd known me for ages; Reads my face in the blink of a second; One look And knows it The face The reason And brings back The perfect rising two-cornered curve And banters it off Fights, shouts, goes silent; Comes back. ALWAYS He wins. And We rejoice. Even 'blackmails' me in the worst ways. Makes fun, and says "I have the right" Never asked a "Don't I?" next. Undoubtedly does. And since that day, never for once I've been down the joyride of being a sister in bounteous ways; And never will I forget- To thank that winter's shooting star, which blessed me with this bliss.
