The call after silence
Five months of quiet, not a word, No echo from you, not a sound was heard. In my heart, the silence grew, Wondering when I'd hear from you. Then in a moment I let you go, Deleted your number, tried to show That time had passed that I was free But the universe had other plans for me. Not coincidence, no it was clear, Minutes later, your call drew near. As if the stars had made their choice to bring me back your familiar voice. Was it fate or something divine That linked your call to that moment in time? The universe wished for us to collide As I let go, it pulled you to my side. Ten days have passed since that night. Still, your call lingers in my mind's light. The universe spoke when I let you go- And through its wish, you let me know.
