THE BUTTERFLY
A butterfly flapping its wings On a wide dead field That was once bright and blooming But you burned and killed Still having faith and hope That it'd still see a living flower But everything's covered with smoke You had created a wild fire Colorful wings have turned gray Covered by your ashes of lies The warm air from romantic days Have transformed into the darkest sky The clouds have swallowed the sun Like how love was engulfed by agony Then there's a vicious roar from heaven That once sang our sweetest melody Droplets of pain begin to shower Piercing through the wings like blades Poor butterfly, nowhere to shelter Now the faith and hope start to fade Three years of living on this meadow Paradise of love, filled with life But now's a scenery of sorrow Looking around, can it still survive? Building a garden with someone else While slowly destroying our pasture And left the butterfly in this hell Taught me love, but the test was torture The woe is the only remaining sound No more traces of happiness Slowly being buried by the ground How to escape this wilderness?
