The Burden of Silence
Do you care about your friends?" Of course! All of them, no end! "Would you do anything, no matter when?" Name it, and I'm there again! "What if they had a problem to bear?" Talk to me, I’m always there. "What if they were going through a tough tide?" They won’t have to face it, not by their side. "And if it hurt them too much to reveal?" As much as it hurts, it’s better to heal. "It’s good you’re ready, here’s what’s true—" Lay it on me, I’m ready for you! "What if you had a burden to show?" Bottle it up, let no one know. "No, no, don't keep it all in—" Push it down deep, don’t let it begin… "Don't be a burden," I quietly say, As I carry my silence, day by day.
