The Broken Mirror💔
This poem focuses on the loss of safety and the corruption of the human spirit. Once, the world was a Mirror of Silk, Where daughters drank wisdom and courage like milk. The Oracle, Anya, could read every star, She traveled the oceans, she wandered so far. No hand rose against her, no wolf crossed her path, For the world feared the heavens, and gravity’s wrath. But the mirror was shattered by Ignorance's Stone, And a seeds of a poison were quietly sown. Today, The Weaver sits weeping in chains, While the news carries stories of terror and stains. The wolf isn't hiding in forests of old, He walks in the daylight, aggressive and bold. They speak of the "Talent" that’s withered and gone, But how can a bird sing when wings are withdrawn? When the cow in the pasture and the child in the street, Are prey for the monsters that the "Modern" will meet. We’ve traded our halos for iron and hate, And left the protectors to rot at the gate. Until we remember the Ancient Command, The blood will continue to soak through the sand.
