The Breakup

I can't promise you forever. I'm not even sure if I can make now better. I know you see the truth in my lies. Hiding the pain behind a smile but you see through my disguise. Holding on to your heart so tight. Holding on to you even though I know it's not right. But it's so hard to let go. The right thing would be to let go. Instead we kiss and make up. Telling ourselves it'll be better to avoid the breakup.
