The Blooming Illusion❤️🩹
My heart was barren, void, and still, Yet I sowed dreams with a hopeful will. Flowers of longing, soft and bright, Dancing in an imagined light. A fragile bubble— shimmering, high, Burst into nothing in the sky. For once it fell, I came to see, The beauty bloomed inside of me. Not the petals, not the vine, But the gaze that deemed them divine. Stripped of illusion, their colors waned, Their fragrance soured, their thorns remained. The flowers were weak, their hues untrue, Yet in my eyes, they softly grew. It was never them— it was always me, Who made them art, who let them be.
