The bliss of falling snow
The world turns soft beneath the sky, As snowfall weaves its lullaby. A dance of stars in endless flight, A gentle storm of pure delight. Each snowflake born in clouds so high, A frozen dream, it flutters by. Six-sided gems, with arms unfurled, Fractals of wonder, worlds within worlds. Their lattice forms in cold embrace, No two alike in time or space. A million paths they gently take, Each one a tiny, fleeting flake. I stand in awe, my breath turns white, As flakes ignite the fading light. They kiss my skin, they crown my hair, A fleeting joy that hangs in air. Their whispers hush the busy street, Their softness stills my racing feet. The weight of sorrow drifts away, Replaced by peace in winter’s sway. A crystal melts upon my tongue, A fleeting sweetness, softly sung. Its life was brief, yet it could bring, The quiet joy of everything. Each flake a gift, a tiny cheer, A herald of the season near. In falling snow, my heart takes flight, Its magic fills me with delight. So let it snow, and let it stay, To brighten up my winter’s day. For in its fall, I come to know, The happiness of falling snow.
