The blame lives within me
I learned to carry blame before I learned my name Even when I was right, you still gave me the blame 'You're wrong' is what you pinned on my frame and everything that went wrong became my shame Without hearing my side, you could declare I'm wrong You called my tears guilt, but I cried because I never felt I belonged and every time you did it, I knew l had to stay strong and by the time you see and realize, hopefully, I'll be gone Sometimes, I hate myself for thinking you'd believe I still ask, in hurting me, what is it that you'll achieve? but quiet I stay and blame and hate I receive and I stay because I know even though I want to, I could never leave But every now and then, you manage to break my soul and in a second, I'm suddenly not whole That's 'it's your fault' makes my soul have a hole and the worst part is, I have no one, I'm all alone ~the blame lives within me~
