the birds
atop the peak of our nests we tell on ourselves where we are to the rest, when have tried our best, lest the sunsets in the west. it's our lives' everlasting test. our love our living we scream to the heavens yet when we're adjacent we tape our mouths shut, our beaks bolted up and chirp the only way we can softly, viciously, angrily, desperately. for that is what us birds have ever know in these unnatural walls.
