The Bird Willow
I gazed upon it's somber hue, Old hate and purple spewed, The wind raged and billowed, With glass eyes askew. No one saw the crying widow, Accept I, perched atop the Bird Willow, wearing a coat of black, I mourned the fallen hero. As the deaths certain as a whip crack, For the tree never grew back.
