The best option
The fading light, a weary sigh, A life once bright, now dimmed on high. The pain consumes, a relentless tide, A soul entwined, where shadows hide. The choice to end, a heavy weight, To cease the struggle, seal the fate. A mercy sought, a final rest, To still the torment, lay it to rest. The ethical maze, a tangled thread, The sanctity of life, the fear of dread. The right to choose, a sacred ground, Or nature's course, where peace is found. No easy answer, no black or white, A complex question, veiled in night. Compassion's call, or duty's bind, The weight of choice, upon the mind.
