The beauty of if only's
If love was the ocean waves, I would let it drape over your shoulders, a net that will cover up all borders. If peace was the starry night, I would wholely and gladly step out into my shining light, pen and paper in hand, I would let you be my only light. If forever was the morning sun, I would sit and smile to myself waiting for a sign, wishing that someday I'll have a son, who I'll gladly watch build a castle in the sand. But this, this is the present, a brutal honesty bringing light from the future, saying that this will only remain in my thoughts, forever be the beauty of if only's.
