THE BATTLEFIELD OF MIND
Everything changes, Every place, every face... But I'm stuck In my own space. Living in dreams, A sweet delusion — Reach out to connect, Then comes confusion. I pull myself back, Afraid of the end — Afraid of the pain, Of losing a friend. So I stay in my mind, Where silence feels right, Where futures seem golden, But only in light. Then comes guilt, Wrapped in the night, Sadness walks in Without a fight. It feels like I chose This cage I defend, But truth is unclear — I just pretend. Regret floods in, For each word and bend... But the tir has flown — There’s no amend. You can’t take back The arrow from the kamaan — Now I just sit, Learning to move on.
