The Bandit And His Dame
A dangerous bandit rode into town And was gladly met by the sheriff's daughter In her evening gown Her beauty shone like the moonlight did bright, illuminating the dark of the darkest night As she smiled up at a bandit so bold Her heart lit aflame with some secrets untold He looked down at her She looked up at him The bandit knew That things looked grim His rugged face softened, his gaze a gentle caress, as he beheld the sheriff's daughter's evening dress Fragile and fierce Her gaze caught his sight Fore the bandit was doomed To win this fight His hand reached for hers in the dead of the night But she had no need to worry He didn't bite And she said to him Tonight we shall play And play we will In the friendliest way Both danger and love will cross paths in this game And we will play to the end Where only one can claim And so goes the story Of the bandit and his dame
