the ashes of innocence
And the lines that divide begin to erase Changing the colour of purity and the colour of darkness into a shade of gray It starts all with a pure soul Where the darkness seeps, slowly but surely corrupting the purity But the grayness deepens, leaving no shade of white purity we used to see The innocence fading and the malice begins to seep That heart smoldering in fire was full of ashes As the last remnants of goodness are consumed by flames The whispers of conscience are silenced by pain The sight looking for the truth slowly got blind.
