The Artist

No one is harder on the artist than him/herself. No critic, no fan, no one. To create something, be it music, a painting, a poem, a story, Is to bring something, some meaning from the The big nothing. The blank page can be a bit terrifying, a little intimidating. When an artist gets it right, When he/she brings joy and pleasure to others, Then that work is done, And they move on to the next work. An artist is never, and nor should they be, satisfied with the finished product.
