The Artist

No one is harder on the artist than him/herself. No critic, no fan, nobody. To create something, be it a song, a painting, a poem, a story, Is to bring something, some meaning out of The Big Nothing. The blank page can be a bit terrifying, A little intimidating. When an artist gets it right, When they bring joy or make others think, Then that work is done, and it's on to the next work. An artist is never satisfied with the finished Product, and nor should they be.
