THE ART OF LETTING GO!
I'm learning to let go, to release the pain To heal the scars, to move on, to break the chain Time, they say, will heal the wounds And I believe, I'll be okay, soon The scars of his words, they cut so deep A reflection of my worth, in his eyes, I did keep But now I see, I was blind To the truth, that I deserved better, I was one of a kind The scars of realisation, they still remain When I understood, I wasn't valued, I was in pain But I won't hold on, to the hurt and the shame I'll let go, and I'll rise above the flames I'm letting go, of the memories we made Not because I want to forget, but because I need to break free These memories are enough, to last a lifetime I don't need more, I just need to move on, to redefine I'm taking back, my life, my heart I'm learning to live, to find my brand new start I'll cherish these memories, but I won't be held down I'll rise above, and I'll wear my crown.
