The Announcers
The night was dark, the air was still As I wandered through the woods on the hill The moon shone bright, the stars were aglow But something felt off, like I wasn't alone I heard a rustle, a snap of a twig And in the shadows, I saw something big My heart raced, my breath quickened fast I knew I had to run, but my feet wouldn't last I turned to flee, but to my dismay The creature was blocking my only way Its eyes glinted, its teeth bared with might And I realized then, I was in for a fight I braced myself, prepared for the worst But then, in a flash, the scene dispersed The creature was gone, vanished into thin air And I was left standing, with nothing to spare What was that creature, where did it go? I may never know, for the truth lies below And so I'll continue, through the woods I'll roam Hoping one day, the mystery will be shown.
