The Angry Daughter
She was alone, craving for something, Some things that could never be, So she just keeps on swimming, In the middle of a vast, endless sea. She is lost — with nowhere to go, She doesn’t know her purpose too, A crisis of self — only sadness she can see, A young heart whispering in silent plea. She is “the angry daughter,” they say, But little do they know she is sad, The angry daughter whose life feels grey, Just craving the love of a dad. When she is outside, She is wild, Always wearing a smile, So no one will see she is dying inside. All she wanted was love and attention, But she changed — she longs for another dimension, For freedom, with nothing to worry, nothing to be angered for, Far from the pain that life once endured for.
