The act I sat Through
You left “out of nowhere” — Like someone who’d been reading two scripts at once And forgot which lines were mine. You scheduled me between silences, Between the stories you couldn’t finish And the ones you wouldn’t start. I thought the gaps were my fault. Turns out they were just full of someone else. It broke me then. I played the breakup on loop, Trying to find the moment you decided I was the intermission. Now I laugh. Not because it didn’t cut deep — it did. But because of how obvious the seams were. How carefully you timed your exits, How badly you kept your stage. You thought you broke something. You just cleared the stage for me. @Vee
