That Silence...
Ah, there it is, That silence... So deafening, Yet so hollow. Filled with persistent echoes, Yet so little room for false hopes. Plagued by various woes, And yet devoid of any relevant foes, Because in that silence there are no lies, For no matter how much one tries, There is no company, And there is no crowd. One would try to escape the silence because it haunts him, Does not allow him to avoid the solitude, Will not let him forget that emptiness, Nor will it allow him to settle for any false sense of happiness. But repeatedly, The echoes whisper, Come into my arms darling, Meld into my embrace, For only I accept you for who you truly are. Man or Monster, You will never be alone in this hall of solitude.
