That night
My heart was shattered, full of ache Tears fell down like a heavy rain The pain inside was hard to take Leaving me sick with sorrow and disdain. Each sob was like a dagger's thrust Breaking me apart with every cry I lay in bed, feeling lost and crushed Wishing for the pain to pass me by. I said to my frail sef time will heal this wounded soul Though now I'm sick with grief's dark toll. I bawled so hard that night My body was Shaking My heart was racing My vision was blurry But you didn't care You became the person you said you would not And that's what broke me.
