That Dilapidated Grave
I retrace those steps once in a while in a daze of foggy eyes Soon I find myself standing still looking down to find no pit I stop, long enough to stare away hoping someday I'll find her there Yet again in my abode of misery her echoes recede, fading away I find no solace enroute but her ground calms me down It spells out loneliness in invisible gale which I've long ceased to notice I try to clean up the earth even just to catch a glimpse Knowing well what I won't find until rantings deep tire me out Tears keep rolling down but she lies oblivious, like a stone And with the wound still sore in me I never finish picking the fallen leaves Nor the creepers grown over her Binding us together in another realm. i_am._.ruth
