Thank you
If you ever broke me "thank you" I broke something once A mirror, never a heart Shard by shard I gathered all And piece by piece turned it back to a whole There it was on the floor It's surface a bit bloodied by fingers with lightning-like patterns running through A far cry from the beauty it was before The result of a well-wishing clue I saw it then and felt hope How the pieces though different harmoniously compliment each other How if it were a tug of war between me and them I'd have to let go of the rope Accept my defeat as I was told by father Enlightened now the pain is easy to bear When my time now is done do me a favor and don't grieve My stay now was pitiful I'm glad I took my leave I rejoice, for when I come back again with the pieces of my soul in different vessels restored They'll find each other and become soulmates with an attraction so vivid it can't be ignored In a campsite around a fire they'll gather as will be their norm While laying on their backs staring at the stars Letting their eyes wander and roam Just like the mirror although weathered and torn at least I'll know the warmth of feeling at home
