Temptations.
In the depths of my soul, a battle rages within A war between virtue and vice, where temptation creeps in Like a serpent, sly and stealthy, it whispers sweet deceit Luring me with promises of pleasure, and a fleeting retreat From the path of righteousness, it seeks to lead me astray With siren songs of desire, and a treacherous, winding way Through the labyrinth of my heart, it navigates with ease And in the darkness, finds a foothold, where shadows seize But I shall resist its allure, and stand firm in my might For I know that succumbing to temptation, is a woeful plight That leads to a abyss of regret, and a sea of sorrow and pain And I shall not be swayed, by its treacherous, sweet refrain With every breath, I'll seek the light, and shun the night And in my heart, I'll hold the truth, and banish false delight And guided by my conscience, I'll walk the narrow path.
