Tell Me What Is Normal?
Why is it so hard to be normal? To keep a mind that does not erase The colors I spent years remembering, The words I fought so hard to learn, Only to be replaced with the scratch of silence, A void that claws me awake each night, Where every quiet thought screams back at me, And I am left holding what I almost was. What is the price of being normal? I would pay it in pieces of myself, If it meant a mind that stops turning on itself, That stops replaying every mistake, That stops bleeding over imagined failures, Where silence is not a trap, But a place I could finally rest, Instead of a cage I cannot escape.
