If I were in charge of the world I’d cancel boring shoe laces, Wet socks, and also bad hair days. If I were in charge of the world There would be louder rainstorms Pumpkin everything, And a cure for asthma. If I were in charge of the world You wouldn’t have a bland coffee ever again, You wouldn’t have restless anger, You wouldn’t have the hurt Or “you’re too young to understand." If I were in charge of the world, Bananas would be a vegetable. And a person who sometimes forgot to appreciate the storm And sometimes forgot to breathe Would still be allowed to be in charge of the world.
