Tears
The most painful thing that tears my heart apart— is seeing my mother’s precious eyes filled with tears. Tears from a soul that’s suffered in silence, from all the love she gave, and the pain she only received. Why is love so hard to give? When it’s supposed to be the way to peace. Why is it so rare to receive the love you’ve shown— especially when you give without asking for anything back? She stands strong when she’s left alone, yet never says no when you’re the one in need. Maybe this is our fate— to keep catching the hate from the very people we loved the most. But why? What has she done, after sacrificing her life for their freedom? “Don’t give all your love,” they say, “it’ll only break you.” And still, she did. Even those she trusted the most— they made her cry the worst. So look around. Open your eyes. This world is not yet paradise. You may love the calm of the sunset, but wait— wait until the sun rises.
