Tears
In the silence, my ears ache for your laughter And the familiar sound of your knock on my door Each night, I weep upon the floor Since the day death took you away It's been an endless, hurtful day Oh, how I wish you could stay There's so much I long to share Yet all I have is this bare, empty space I'm sorry for taking you for granted If I knew our time was limited I would've devoted more of my time How can I navigate this life alone? With nothing left of you but a tombstone Mom and Dad, I cry out for you every night My pillow soaked with tears until morning light I am lost without the two of you I wish it was all just a dream That this nightmare was untrue But even upon waking, you're not there Leaving my broken heart filled with despair Because I know you're no longer here I wonder if there will ever be relief Or if I'll be forever haunted by this grief
