Tearing at My Soul
I can shatter the world, break it all apart, Yet here I stand, tearing at my own heart. I could burn the bridges, collapse the skies, But instead, I choose to break what lies inside. The walls I’ve built, the dreams I’ve known, I watch them crumble, yet I stay alone. I could unravel the threads of the world’s design, But I only unravel, piece by piece, what's mine. I can destroy the world, but it’s my soul that I am destroying, In choosing to break myself, I hear my heart, imploding. The power is mine, to crush or create, But I turn it inward, to seal my own fate. I could conquer it all, yet I choose this fight To break myself down, in the dead of the light.
