Tangled roots
I carry storms beneath my skin, Silent battles no one sees within. Family ties like tangled roots, Twisting, pulling - deep disputes. I love, yet hurt, a bittersweet chain, Yearning for sunshine, but enduring the rain. Words unsaid, feelings suppressed, Wishing for peace, craving for rest. I'm caught between love and fight, Lost in the shadows, craving the light. The weight of judgment shapes my view, Words that are said, that isn't true. I try to move, to change, to grow, But motivation ebbs, and doubts still flow. Mirror whispers lies I don't believe, But inside, I long reprieve. I fear the future, grief and regret, Haunted by moments I can't forget. Yet in the dark, a spark remains, A hope that someday I'll break these chains. I'm more than pain, more than strife, A soul enduring, fighting for life. Not perfect, but worthy and true, And everyday I choose me anew.
