Tangled Mess
I wear a mask of happiness, a bright smile on my face But deep down, I'm a tangled mess of emotions I light up the room with my presence But somehow, I still feel like an outsider peeking in My exterior is perfectly in place, well polished But inside, I'm a stormy sea of doubts and fears I'm my own worst critic, always blaming myself For not being good enough, for not being happy enough I'm exhausted from trying to please everyone around me From trying to fit into their expectations But no matter how hard I try, I still feel like I'm falling short Like I'm a disappointment to those I care about And then I turn on myself, raining on my own parade Why can't I just be happy? Why can't I just be enough? I'm a master of self-sabotage, always finding ways to undermine my own joy It's a vicious cycle, one that I struggle to break free from I'm tired of being a prisoner of my own mind Tired of feeling like I'm not good enough I want to learn to love myself, to accept myself To find happiness in my own company.
