Taking and Faking and Breaking
My limbs are shaking Like earthquakes- And breaking, I'm trembling and quaking An end- An end- An end- My tongue is placid Useless and complacent All overwhelming Words they blur as I speak Slurs in speech Overwhelming me and me Eyes wherever I land my sight The doors and walls are listening I hear them laughing and giggling I can't breathe Can't breathe- Wait-! I- I see your figure in front of me These clammy fingers grip around the fabric And my shirt is already stained with sweat So much, so much, so much, *so much*-! I knew- Shouldn't have done it like this I think my heart stopped beating- It's leaving Feeling it crawl out my throat The lump is forming And growing And leaving, no breathing The spit it makes me choke and fear and seeing- Things- Thump. Thump-. *THUMP* Ring my footsteps In my ears In my veins They echo round and round Right and left and left and right and up and- I grip my shirt Scarf strangling me Stop- Clothes intrude on me Stop- The air killing me STOP-! I can't breathe God, hold onto me
