Taken by the void
There is a void, so dark and quiet, so far from the world. It calls to me like a siren, it tempts me to go inside, get lost in its endless darkness. The song is so sweet, like a mother singing a lullaby. I wonder; will the darkness be warm... like a mother's hug? Or will it be cold, like the depths of the ocean? At least I know, the quiet will swallow the screams, the ones no one hears, it will shush the voices in my head, it will take my memories and make me forget, it will take my regrets and the pain will go away. Will someone miss me? Maybe, but the one that matters is already dead. He gave in to the siren song, he let it take him deep into the void. Jumping off a bridge, I wasn't there to catch him. The only person I have truly loved, was taken by the void. If I give myself to the void, will I find you there, my love?
